Team building people actually enjoy

Most team-building activities feel like work. Cooking together does not. Your team splits into stations, learns real chef techniques, works against the clock and then sits down to eat what they made. The conversation at that table is the point.

I lead hands-on cooking events at offices with a usable kitchen, rental houses, retreat properties and private venues across Nashville and Middle Tennessee. Formats include a guided class where everyone cooks one menu together, a friendly team cook-off with a chef’s critique at the end, and a demonstration dinner for groups that would rather watch and eat.

For remote and hybrid teams, the same experience works on Zoom: everyone gets the shopping list ahead of time and we cook together live. Virtual team building is available nationwide.

Companies also book me for client dinners, holiday parties and leadership offsites. If you need lodging, meals across several days or event coordination, Get Apex Hospitality plans the full program.

Questions and answers

Quick answers. More on the full FAQ.

What is a cooking team-building event?

A chef-led session where your team cooks together, either as one class or as competing teams, then shares the meal. Chef Joe teaches the techniques and keeps it moving.

Where can the event happen?

At an office with a working kitchen, a rental house, a retreat property or a private venue in Nashville, Middle Tennessee or North Alabama, or online over Zoom.

Can remote teams take part?

Yes. Virtual team cooking runs live on Zoom and is available nationwide, with a shopping list sent ahead so everyone cooks along from home.

Do we need cooking experience?

No. Sessions are built for mixed skill levels, and everyone gets a job at the station.

Is alcohol part of the event?

No. Chef Joe does not provide or serve alcohol; the event is built around the food.

How do we set one up?

Send your date, headcount and location through the contact form and Chef Joe will reply with options.
